The Best Breweries in Denver

It’s no secret that Colorado has a great beer scene. Colorado itself has over 400 breweries, and due to the huge amount of craft beer spots that Colorado has to offer it can be increasingly hard to choose which one to visit. That’s why we have been on a mission to find the best breweries in Denver, both so that we can taste the delicious brews ourselves but also to help our readers!

We have been loving trying out new craft beer joints every chance we get. Coming from a small town that only had three brewery options within an hour of where we lived… we have been starstruck by all the options in Denver!

So we had to create a list of our favorites to share as well as a list of places that are on our list to try!

Two beers served at the bar.

The Best Breweries in Denver (That We’ve Tried and Loved):

Comrade Brewing Company

This brewery is towards the Glendale and Aurora area, we particularly love that it has a local vibe to it! They already know Sam, Clover and I when we stop by.

They have very friendly staff and they love to bring Clover a dog bowl when we’re sitting outside in the summer heat. Not to mention, their beer is delicious. We love their various IPA options on tap! An added bonus is that they have rotating food trucks that come by too.

Breckenridge Brewery

Okay so this brewery isn’t quite in Denver but just outside of it! This brewery is located in Littleton and it’s pretty huge compared to most breweries in the area.

We loved all the various options of where you could sit. You can go inside and sit down in what feels like a restaurant atmosphere. You can snag a seat at the bar or you can sit outside on their lawn! They have countless options when it comes to their beverages and they have some delicious bites to eat on their menu too.

14er Brewing and Beer Garden

We truly adore this brewery! It’s around the downtown Denver area, a little bit passed Coors Field.

It was one of the first breweries we ever hit when visiting Denver for the first time several years ago. We absolutely love their outdoor seating area. It’s very spacious and has such great vibes.

Dry Dock

This brewery is in Aurora, just outside of the Denver metro area. It’s your typical brewery with a relaxed atmosphere and good drinks.

Copper Kettle

This brewery is near the Glendale area. It was one of the first breweries we hit after moving to Denver. We loved the local atmosphere and drinks.

They promote themselves as a brewery to hangout in and play some card games. We loved this because it felt homey!

Great Divide

This is one of the bigger breweries in the Denver area. It’s in downtown Denver and close to Coors Field. They have countless options on tap and we had a great experience.

A flight of hazy beers served at the table.

3 Freaks Brewery

We had such a great experience at this little joint. We loved that the brewery was on the smaller end and much more local than most breweries.

It’s in the Highlands Ranch area and the staff was uber friendly. We tried several different beers and had a great time.

10 Barrel

This brewery is in the RiNo area of downtown Denver. We love the location because it’s walking distance from other great bars and restaurants.

The brewery had an ample amount of space and seats inside. We bellied up to the bar and had a great time trying various IPA’s.

Woods Boss Brewing Company

Another great brewery in the downtown Denver area. This brewery was unique because it stuck with the “wood theme” throughout the brewery. It was super cool and definitely made you think of all the mountains around Colorado. They had great drinks and the staff was friendly.

Epic Brewing Company

Epic is another great option in the RiNo area of downtown Denver. We bellied up to the bar and tried several of their beers.

Denver Beer Company

There are several locations for this brewery surrounding the Denver and Arvada areas. We love that there are a few locations because you can choose which one to hit based on where you’re coming from. They have great beer and have rotating food trucks as well.

Peak View Brewing Company

Peak View is outside of the Denver area but we loved our experience here. It’s in the Greenwood Village area right around Centennial. We adore their garage doors and how they open them up on the warmer days. I tried two different flights of beer and Sam had a few pints. It’s a great brewery with a local feel to it.

A flight of beer served outdoors on the patio of a brewery.

Bull and Bush

This brewery is near the Cherry Creek area and has a German vibe to it. They have ample indoor seating but also have a great patio area.

Prost Brewing Co. and Biergarten

This brewery and biergarten is in the LoHi area, one of our favorite areas of Denver. The area is filled with breweries, bars, restaurants, and everything in between. There are so many places to hit in this area and there are countless sidewalks to walk to them.

Prost is definitely a German style establishment and has great indoor and outdoor seating. They are also very dog friendly and we saw some dogs inside!

Zuni Street

We loved visiting Zuni Street for the first time a few weeks ago! They had great vibes and good indoor and outdoor seating. They are very dog friendly as well and we saw several big dogs inside of the brewery. The beers were delicious and the place was packed when we went. It’s definitely a fan favorite for many people in the Denver area!

Diebolt Brewing

We visited Diebolt close to when they opened one Saturday or Sunday. It’s near the downtown Denver area. There were only a few people in the brewery at the time we went but the staff were extremely friendly and we liked the atmosphere. It felt smaller and more local than most breweries in the area and the beers we had were delicious and refreshing.

Wynkoop Brewing

This brewery is right near Coors Field in downtown Denver. Everytime we pass the brewery, it seems to be packed. We just recently tried it out for ourselves and had a good time. The location is fantastic if you’re going to hit a Rockies Game and the atmosphere was lively with countless Rockies fans pregaming before the game.

Jagged Mountain Craft Brewery

This brewery is also pretty close to Coors Field. We loved that the brewery wasn’t too big or packed when we visited. They had great vibes inside and the staff were super friendly! We split a flight of beer and loved its proximity to the Rockies stadium.
